[s7s] teh f-list haz spokken!
(Doesn't "spokken" sound particularly METAL?)

In response to my poll, the clear leader for "work during my break" is refining the S7S handout, to enable gamma playtests.

So mote it be.

Tomorrow night, or over the weekend, I'll start redrafting it. Once I have something in hand, I'll populate to my local groups, test, and revise. Only then will I propagate out to the S7S list. (Skyship combat needs a mighty testing!)

Since we're on the topic of S7S, let me reveal some DEEP, DARK concerns I have about the manuscript... non-gamers can skip )

So, those are the deep and disturbing issues I'm feeling re: S7S.

One Week "Break"
With the completion of my initial work on the Small Favor matrix and some freelance editing, I am taking a short break.

Of course, for me, "break" means I only work on one project, because I iz insaneymans.

But which. One. Spock? Which. One?

Which "for-fun" project should I work on during my "break"?

State o' the Chad
Summary: Much improved.

I'm about 75% done with DFRPG work (Samll Favor matrix). There are some other mini-projects I can/should do when that's done, before revising the "Goes Bump" and "Who's Who" (and possibly "Harry's World") chapters. But I am definitely taking a short break from Dresdania when the SmF matrix is done.

I'm about 2.5 fairy tales away from having a collection of ZoZ-based stories. I hope to publish them myself, which is a situation rife with possibilities for failure. Self-pubbed fiction (unlike comics or RPGs) is definitely the bastard child of publishing. QUICK QUESTION: Would you buy such a thing> Inquiring minds, and all.

The novel is on hiatus; I don't have the brain-cycles to apply to it.

S7S is also somewhat on hiatus. I need to update the gamma handout and run at least two more local sessions, before I can push out changes to playtesters. I don't see the possibility of meeting up for a local game before mid-May, tho.

Influenced by [info]maliszew's discussion of old-school D&D, I have been pondering a new game system. A fusion of PDQ and OD&D. It hasn't fully coalesced in my skullmeats yet, so I cannot say more.

Socially... I need to see my friends more. I need to spend time with my girlfriends. I need to somehow break the chains that connect me to this keyboard.

Send money.

From the author of Legends Walk - Truth & Justice Edition comes this resource for adding new powers to any T&J game.

  • Brief notes on some rules options you might like to try.
  • Mini-articles about the versatility of Super Scale and Vulnerability as tools, handling size in the game and constructing themed powers.
  • Over 40 power write-ups - some familiar, some widely applicable and some just a little bit quirky.

Requires the Truth & Justice corebook to play.

Note that some content previously appeared in Legends Walk - Truth & Justice Edition.

Tim has also added a little bit of discussion on some of the wackier powers from the T&J sample settings and a few of those of the example heroes in Dial S for Superhumans.
