Wow. Now THAT gives me some ideas to ruminate and masticate upon.

I can't wait to see PDQ! (bang) for games with lots of shooting.

PDQ always struck me as a great vehicle for Trek. I'm glad that someone has taken that idea further and I would love to borrow as much as possible agaist the day my Trek campaigns somehow get resurrected.

Turns out, PDQ *is* a great vehicle for Trek. It helps that I happen to know some really great players.

I had a great time running the adventure, and you're welcome to take what you like.

If you come up with any interesting ideas or improvements to my little system, please let me know. We didn't do any starship combat, so I'm particularly interested in hearing opinions about how that might work.

Cheers,
-Mark

The actual character creation rules are here: http://emeraldcitygamefest.org/2009/04/09/star-trek-pdq-character-creation/

They differ only very slightly from the regular PDQ# rules.

I think S7S' skyship rules will transfer over nicely for any necessary Starship combat. I really want to see how your development maps onto some old Trek characters I ran campaigns for, starting with the oooold FASA rules, and then a brief, partial and not very successful GURPS conversion. The campaigns were moribund such that they completely missed the rise and fall of both LUJ and Decipher Trek games, and really I have been convinced by FATE and PDQ(&#) that for most games, less is more. Not sure when the Starships Nagato and Investigator might fly again, but I thing this mod of PDQ# might make the hope of quick, fun play a reality sooner than later. Thank you. I'll be sure to report, maybe over on my blog (but not for a week or two at least).

How do I contact you?

Pardon me Chad for using your blog as a message board, but Markwalt is a bit elusive.

Mark, after several detours and delays, I am getting up my own take of PDQ# for Trek over on my LJ page. I hope this alerts you to the fact. Please comment as you see fit. My work is quite derivative of yours and I hope that I have provided appropriate credit, because credit is quite due.

Regards,

Evan
