He could've been in a film that wasn't "registered" on IMDb. They're pretty strict about verifying, and I know with a new film, a producer of the film has to provide certain documentation that they're legit, etc. I don't know how they do it for older, pre-IMDb-launch films.
OR... he could've been in something uncredited, in which case it's likely that he wouldn't get an IMDb credit for it either. Though they do list some uncredited appearances.
OR... he seems more interested in directing, really, from his credits. He may simply not be interested in film, either acting or directing. Which makes sense, since he spent a lot of time on TV sets; he'd know the schedule, people, navigation, etc. Film & TV sets have a completely different vibe/pace. I have a camera operator friend who has no trouble going off for 2 months in the jungle/swamp in Alabama/Louisiana for long days humping gear a mile in to location etc on a film, but was wiped by the schedule on a sound stage on a single-camera sit-com. He's just a film guy. Maybe Anson is just a TV guy?
